VMware Workstation allows technicians to develop, test, demonstrate, and deploy software while simultaneously running multiple Windows, Linux, and other x86-based operating systems on a single PC.
You can replicate server, desktop, and tablet environments on a virtual machine and allocate multiple CPU cores, gigabytes of main and graphics memory to each virtual machine, regardless of whether the virtual machine is on a PC or in a private corporate cloud.

Problems are solved
The following issues were resolved in VMware Workstation 11.1.
A Linux guest operating system loaded with EFI firmware sometimes became unresponsive to the keyboard and mouse if mouse movement occurred for a short period of time while the operating system was booting. This problem is solved.
Outlook 2010 sometimes crashed in Unity mode. This problem is solved.
Failed to compress or defragment the permanent disk. This problem is solved.
The user interface sometimes crashed when the user copied and pasted a file between two Windows guest systems. This problem is solved.
Fixed broken rendering of user interface elements in Fedora 20 guest versions with 3D enabled.
When creating a new virtual machine with SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE) 12, the simple installation path was not available. This problem is solved.
